Terms of Service
1. Scope
These terms apply to the use of Voxinity – the Discord bot, the dashboard (https://dashboard.voxinity.xyz) and this website. The provider is Sebastian Scholz (see the legal notice). By adding the bot, signing in to the dashboard or linking your Roblox account you agree to these terms.
2. Service
Voxinity moves members of a Discord server into shared voice channels based on their position on an ER:LC private server. The service is in early access. We aim for stable operation but do not guarantee any particular availability and may change, limit or discontinue features.
Technical limits: Discord does not allow bots to control the volume of individual people for others, so Voxinity works with group channels. Positions come from the ER:LC API with a delay of a few seconds, so groups may form or split with a delay. If the ER:LC API or Discord is unavailable, the service does not work.
3. Obligations of server operators
Whoever sets up Voxinity on a Discord server
- must be authorised to manage that server and to use the ER:LC private server key,
- informs the members of the server that the bot assigns voice channels based on in-game position, and
- is responsible for the settings, roles and permissions on their server.
4. Obligations of users
You agree not to misuse Voxinity. In particular, you must not:
- link someone else’s Roblox or Discord account or impersonate others,
- overload the service, circumvent security mechanisms or exploit vulnerabilities,
- use the service for harassment or unlawful purposes.
The terms of Discord, Roblox and the ER:LC API also apply.
5. Suspension and termination
We may exclude servers or users that violate these terms. You can stop using the service at any time: remove the bot from your server, remove the setup in the dashboard or delete your Roblox link.
6. Independence
Voxinity is an independent project and is not affiliated with Roblox Corporation, the Police Roleplay Community (ER:LC) or Discord Inc. Trademarks belong to their respective owners.
7. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health. For slight negligence we are only liable for breach of essential obligations, limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this kind of service. Otherwise liability is excluded to the extent permitted by law. Mandatory statutory rights, in particular of consumers, remain unaffected.
8. Privacy
See the privacy policy for the data we process.
9. Changes
We may change these terms if the service or the law changes. We announce material changes on this website and on our support server.
10. Final provisions
The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies. For consumers this choice of law applies only insofar as it does not deprive them of mandatory protection of the country in which they habitually reside. If a provision is invalid, the remaining provisions stay in effect.
